Chrysalis: Brown and pellet-shaped.

Host Plants: Members of the heath family (Ericaceae), including sugar huckleberry (Vaccinium vacillans) and Labrador tea (Ledum groenlandicum). Many other plants including madrone (Arbutus) and dodder (Cuscuta).

Habitat: Mixed conifer woods, barrens, bogs, sandy coasts, chaparral.
